Como GP is a private billing practice. Consultation fees for each type of appointment are outlined below. Fees are payable at the time of consultation by either cash, EFTPOS, Visa or Mastercard. This practice generally does not bulk bill. Patients holding full pensioner card or healthcare card may be offered discount rates of $15 on all fees for weekday appointments before 5pm. All children less than the age of 10 are bulk billed on weekdays for appointments before 5pm. Individual doctors reserve the right to charge a reduced fee or bulk bill at their discretion.
All patients will be bulk billed and have free consults for health assessments, chronic disease care plans and review of these care plans.
For your convenience, we can transmit your request for a Medicare rebate electronically, eliminating the need to lodge your claim at a Medicare office. Please ensure your bank and address details are up to date with Medicare.

** If there is no ear canal wax found during a specific ‘wax removal using microscope and microsuction’ appointment, then a fee will still apply for a either a standard or long consultation.
Procedures such as suturing and office investigations such as ECG and spirometry are charged as per the Australian Medical Association recommendations.
Pension card holders and Health Care Card holders
Pension card holders and health card holders are discounted $15 on all fees for weekday appointments before 5pm.
Children
Como GP bulk bills all children less than the age of 10 years old for weekday appointments before 5pm. There is no out of pocket fee at these appointments.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Patients
Como GP welcomes patients that identify as ATSI. We are registered with Closing-The-Gap and provide a culturally sensitive approach to your healthcare. We offer free annual ATSI health checks.
Veteran Affairs
Como GP bulk bills all Gold Card Veteran’s Affairs cardholders. There is no out of pocket fee for Gold Card Veteran’s Affairs holders.
Express Appointments
These appointments are ONLY for repeat scripts/ referrals /influenza or other booster doses of vaccines and not for a full consultation. We endeavour to schedule these on the same day of request.
Workcover / Motor Vehicle Injury
These are services provided by Como GP for the management of work related or traffic accident injuries and illnesses. All consultations require full payment on the day unless the Western Australia Workcover authority or Motor Vehicle Insurer has accepted full liability and all excess payments have been met.
International Visitors
International visitors without Medicare cards are welcome. Standard fees apply and a receipt will be provided for use with your travel Insurance.
